Located in the Great Room of the Internet Archive are over 120 clay statues of current and previous Internet Archive employees and collaborators, created by Nuala Creed.

General Internet Archive policy has been to create a statue for employees after 3 years tenure; occasionally, figures have been created in memory of Friends of the Archive who have died. (For example, Aaron Swartz and John Perry Barlow). The statue is not compulsory.

Brewster Kahle had the idea for the statues after seeing the Terracotta Warrior statues in China. He proposed the idea of creating the statues to Nuala Creed, who was initially hesitant. Six months later, she created a statue of Kahle. He enjoyed it, so she kept producing them. The statues are stoneware.
